Drinking and Driving
When it comes to drinking and driving we want you to think and be responsible. People get hurt and killed at an alarming rate due to drinking and driving. It is just not something to be messed with. In the not too distant past the drinking and driving laws were very different. If you were lucky enough to get pulled over instead of crashing, then you might have been let go or gotten a fairly weak punishment. These days if you drink and drive the penalties are very serious. Loss of license and or jail time. The Blood Alcohol Level (BAC) that is allowed has dropped over the years, in fact, now all of the US has a .08 legal limit for drinking and driving. Of course, each person is slightly different when it comes to reaching this limit. For some, they may be under the limit for drinking and driving if they have a few beers within a couple of hours, where as others may register higher than the .08.
One good way to take the guess work out of gauging your BAC is to get your own breathalyzer. You can test your level and possibly prevent drinking and driving. These breathalyzer units are small and very affordable. Bring it with you when you go out. Drinking and driving is serious and should be avoided. Plan your evening before you start partying so that you can avoid the temptation of drinking and driving, later on.
We care and we want people to be safe. Take steps, such as using a portable breathalyzer or having a designated driver to avoid drinking and driving. You can go and party and have a good time, but think about the drinking and driving situation. If you don't then the fun can come to an end pretty quick. So please stay away from drinking and driving and help keep us all a little bit safer. Thanks.
